Ellipse Titanium

A new generation regulator that sits at the top of the market due to its exceptional features. The small size, combined with the use of sophisticated hi-tech polymers and various parts made from titanium, make it possible to keep the weight exceptionally low.
The regulator is technologically state-of-the-art, thanks to a series of new patents. To give exceptional ease of servicing the Ellipse second stage features a patented fold out opening design enabling the entire internal mechanism to be withdrawn complete. A patented poppet valve and cleverly designed cantilever mechanism are used in the second stage, resulting in a regulator that supplies air with unheard of gentleness and fluidity. All of this with an excellent price/quality ratio.

The Ellipse Titanium comes with the MC7 diaphragm balanced first stage. It is a very modern first stage, with very high performance, while being easy to maintain and very strong. The “in line” configuration with the air outlet from the tank guarantees very high performance, reducing drops in pressure to a minimum. The MC7 first stage is hyper-balanced, guaranteeing a rise in the intermediate pressure when the air supply in the tank begins to drop. So the regulator provides maximum performance in the final stage of the dive, notoriously the most critical.
The MC7 model can be supplied with an antifreeze kit, which completely seals diaphragm and spring from contact with the water, making it suitable for use even in extreme conditions.
It comes in the 3 versions: INT, DIN 200 bar and DIN 300.

Ellipse

The younger brother of Ellipse Titanium, the Ellipse regulator uses the same technologically advanced second stage but without the titanium front cover.

Ellipse comes with the traditional Cressi AC2 piston model. This is a non-balanced first stage with such high performance that it can be compared to lots of excellent balanced models. The small number of components, the low weight and the excellent materials make it the strongest Cressi first stages, and the most steadfast to maltreatment, a real “working horse” amongst regulators. An ingenious bush system allows easy and rapid external regulation of the intermediate pressure , it has an exceptional air flow, a lot higher than what is found on the market for this kind of first stage and that easily stands up to comparison with the balanced models in terms of performance. It comes with both international yoke or 200 or 300 bar DIN connection and boasts the exclusive feature of enabling easy and quick adjustment of the intermediate pressure.

Ellipse has no rivals on the market in terms of quality-price ratio.

Ellipse Octopus

Octopus Ellipse uses the same casing as the Ellipse model made from special hi-tech polymers, the only difference being the yellow front cover. The hose is also yellow and is longer (100 cm against the standard 76 cm).
The performance is extremely high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the Ellipse, to prevent any self-regulating possibility when it is used as a spare regulator. Octopus Ellipse suits all the Cressi first stages perfectly and all the first stages with an intermediate pressure between 9 and 10 bar.

Ellipse 2nd stage
Calibration pressure 9-10 bar
Average inhale effort (*) 8 mbar
Average exhale effort (*) 11 mbar
Average breathing work (*) 1.3 J/l
Air supply 1300 l/m
Weight (without hose) 166 g

(*)values measured in compliance with UNI EN 250 standards.

Airtech

First stage - choice of either:-

Piston
Brand new disk housing design. Anti-extrusion ring on 1st stage spring, for improved piston maintenance and performance. Rotating port turret with 5 pre-angled low pressure ports ensures that regulator and instrument connectors are always in the right position. Wide air ports take capacity to 2700 litres per minute. Conical filter with 200% greater capacity than standard models. Easily adapted for DIN fitting (200 or 300 bar).

Membrane
Four low pressure and 2 high pressure ports set angled at each side for convenient hose location. The air intake is aligned with the tap for reduced pressure drop. Constant intermediate pressure delivery ensures a high performance even with a near empty tank. Easily adapted for DIN fitting (200 or 300 bar).

An anti-freeze kit is available for the membrane first stage to make it completely watertight. A thermal barrier is created which is in contact with the membrane and main spring.

Second stage

Features a newly designed titanium cap for unequalled lightness and corrosion resistance. A pneumatically balanced valve is housed in a strong, compact thermoplastic resin body. Includes a side mounted gradual adjustment knob with double water seals.

Suggested retail price - £312.90 (piston) £325.50 (membrane) £25.20 (anti-freeze kit)

XS2

First stage

The two pairs of low pressure ports are pre-angled to give perfect connection to second stage connector and instruments to give a more comfortable dive. A powerful internal conical filter gives 200% greater filtering than standard flat filter models. Maximum airflow is 2100 litres per minute thanks to new wider hoses.

Second stage

The flow control valve in the XS2 second stage exploits the significant venturi effect created by the I.B.I. system to the full. This means inhalation effort is kept to a minimum even in the most challenging conditions. Awarded a CE mark for passing the rigorous UNI EN 250 in water temperatures as low as 4degC.

XS Octopus

The XS2 Octopus uses the same casing as the XS2 model, the only difference being the yellow front cover. The hose is also yellow and is longer (100 cm against the standard 76 cm).
All the mechanics are identical to the XS2 model and consists of a downstream side valve system, with adjustable orifice, simple and extremely reliable. A flow of pilot air is channeled to the mouthpiece by injection, enhancing the performance.
The upper part of the body has a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive function.
Constantly reviewed over the years, this regulator has lots of admirers in the world due to the fact that it is extremely simple and strong, features that make it easy to use and result in low-cost maintenance. In any case, performance levels are high, although the calibration is regulated so that the inhalation effort is slightly greater than on the XS2, to prevent any free-flow possibility when it is used as a spare regulator. The air supply pressure can be adjusted between 9 and 10 bar, perfectly suited to all the Cressi first stages.
